FURNITURE & DECOR

This is for you if you have already established the construction and Interior spaces of your design project but you are feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start with sourcing furniture and decor and the actual styling side of things. This part of the design project is so important, as it will be the 'Icing on the Cake' so to speak, that will complete your home.

 

My sole focus when working with you to style your home, is to create beautiful spaces that are reflective of you and your family and your needs and requirements. You will receive access to my designer knowledge, trade discounts where available and my complete support through the whole process. At the end of the day, my goal is to create a beautiful home that you will be proud of.

My holistic approach to design and my passion for healthy and sustainable interiors is always at the top of the list when I am styling my clients homes. You will receive beautiful and thoughtful products that have been well thought out, chosen carefully and not mass produced. I love suppliers and products that have an amazing story behind their creations.

You can take advantage of my full styling service, or you may wish for me to just source all the furniture  and provide you with a shopping list. I am all for making your life and design project as easy and as calm as possible.

An initial  2 hour consultation is $190.00, where we will discuss your design project and then we can move forward from there.

THE PROCESS

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

  • It all starts with you getting touch

  • I will email you within 24 hours

  • The next step is to complete the design questionnaire. This will give me a better understanding of who you are , your goals and needs.

  • Once the questionnaire is complete, I will be in  contact to organise a time for your 30 minute complementary discovery call. During this call we can book in a time for your design consultation.

  • I will then email through an invoice for the consultation which will need to be paid prior to our meeting

  • If you have already started to gather some ideas and have written down some notes, that's great. The more organised you are for the day, the more time we have for the important stuff.

  • During the design consultation we will discuss you design requirements and to also see if we are a good fit.

  •  I will be taking lots of notes, measurements if applicable, photos, going through your floorplans if you have them  and looking at anything you may have gathered so far.

  • I will listen to your vision, values and your wish list and really hone in to your lifestyle requirements.

  • After our consultation I will go away and develop a fee proposal and concept boards and send them through to you.

  • This will be based on what we spoke about in our design consultation and your vision for your project.

  • This part of the process takes approximately 48 hours

  • Once you have approved the fee proposal and concept boards and you feel that we are going to work well together, we can then move on to the next phase.

PHASE 1 - CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

  • This stage is where I prepare the preliminary concepts  for the design project.

  • I will prepare a complete scope of work outlining what you need done

  • I will present a creative concept for each area that needs styling  so you can start to see the design direction I am proposing.

  • I will provide moodboards, spacial plans, samples and swatches when required.

  • During this phase I will be giving you email and phone support, as well as site visits when required.

PHASE 2 - FINALISATION & ORDERING

  • This phase of the design project is where everything will be finalised so that the ordering of furniture and decor can commence.

  • I will present to you a complete furniture schedule, including your existing items that must stay, so you know exactly what will be purchased for each space and what items will go into each area.

  • We will have  a meeting together to present the design project  to you.

  • I will then go away and revise any changes and come back to you with the new design

  • Once you have approved the revised design, I will start coordinating and ordering from my suppliers.

  • If you have chosen not to go ahead with my complete styling service, this is where you will go away with a scope of work, furniture spacial plans, furniture schedule and a shopping list.

  • To take advantage of trade discounts, furniture and decor must be purchased through Sally Josephine Designs.

PHASE 3 - INSTALLATION

  • This is where it all comes together

  • Once all the furniture and decor items have arrived  its time for the fun part.

  • My Vision and your design dreams will complement each other for a beautiful end result.

  • I will arrive to style and decorate your home with the items we have purchased and your existing pieces.

  • I will do all the unpacking, heavy lifting and arrange everything

  • I will install rugs, artwork, lighting to furniture and even the little vignette on the coffee table

  • You are most welcome to be there on install day but it is not necessary. If you have to be at work or have prior commitments, that is totally fine as well.

  • It is then time for the big reveal!

  • Welcome to your beautiful, newly styled home.

INCLUSIONS:

  • 1 x complementary 30 minute discovery call

  • 1 x 2 hour initial design consultation

  • Fee proposal for the design work

  • Digital concept boards depicting the style I am trying to achieve for the space/s, taking into account what we have spoken about in the consultation.

  • Access to Sally Josephine Designs for the duration of your project for advice and to help with any design issues that may arise.

  • Design, selection and sourcing  all furniture, art and decor products for your project from start to finish.

  • A complete Scope of work

  • Spacial planning and layouts

  • Colour scheme development

  • Selection of window treatments if needed

  • Selection of lighting (accent, task and fixed lighting).

  • Digital concept boards for furniture, lighting, rugs, art and decor items.

  • A meeting to finalise furniture and accessories

  • Ordering of products

  • Furniture and decor schedule

  • All your samples selected for your project in a convenient SJD sample box

  • A detailed shopping list if you have decided not go ahead with Sally Josephine Designs complete styling service.

  • Onsite installation and styling service, including all the heavy lifting, unpacking and styling of furniture and accessories.
