INFORMATION FOR NDIS SUPPORT COORDINATORS AND PLAN MANAGERS

At Sally Josephine Designs, we provide professional organising support for NDIS participants, designed to improve daily living, independence, and functional outcomes in the home.

Our sessions are participant-centred, flexible, and outcomes-focused, and can be tailored to the individual needs of your client.

KEY SERVICE DETAILS

Service Type: In-home professional organising support
Session Lengths: 4-hour or 6-hour blocks
Delivery: Hands-on support in the participant’s home
Initial Consultation: An in-home consultation is required prior to any organising sessions.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

Before organising support sessions begin, a 1-hour initial consultation is required. This allows me to meet with the participant, understand their NDIS goals, and assess the areas of the home where support is needed.

During the consultation I will:

• Discuss the participant’s goals and daily challenges
• Walk through the relevant areas of the home
• Identify barriers affecting independence and daily routines
• Determine the level and type of organising support required

Following the consultation, I develop a simple support plan outlining recommended organising strategies and the structure of ongoing support sessions, ensuring they align with the participant’s NDIS goals.

In some cases, where goals and required supports are already clearly documented within the participant’s plan or by the support coordinator, this step may be streamlined.

The consultation can be claimed from the participant’s NDIS plan under the relevant support category.

FOCUS AREAS INCLUDE:

  • De-cluttering and organising functional spaces (kitchen, bedroom, living areas, storage areas, work/study spaces)

  • Creating practical, sustainable, easy-to-maintain systems

  • Guidance to support routines, executive functioning, and day-to-day independence

  • Sensory-aware and calm approaches for participants who benefit from structured environments

  • Optional follow-up sessions and PDF resource packs for maintaining systems
