Creating functional, manageable home environments that support everyday living

At Sally Josephine Designs, I offer professional organising support for NDIS participants who would benefit from assistance creating a more functional and manageable home environment.

For many people, cluttered or disorganised spaces can make daily tasks feel overwhelming. Difficulty locating items, maintaining systems, or managing belongings can impact everyday routines, independence, and wellbeing.

This service provides practical, hands-on organising support to help participants simplify their environment, create easy-to-maintain systems, and reduce stress within the home.

The focus is always on functional outcomes, creating systems that support daily routines and make everyday life easier.

My approach is participant-centred, calm, and neurodivergent-aware, working respectfully at each individual’s pace.

About This Service:

This service supports NDIS participants who may benefit from assistance organising their home environment to improve everyday functioning and independence.

Support may be helpful for participants who experience challenges with:

  • Organising household spaces

  • Managing belongings or storage

  • Maintaining daily routines

  • Decision-making or executive functioning

  • Sensory or environmental overwhelm

  • Feeling stressed or overwhelmed by clutter

Sessions focus on practical solutions that make everyday life easier, rather than creating perfect or aesthetic spaces.

What Is Included:

Each organising session is tailored to the participant’s needs and goals. Support may include:

  • Hands-on decluttering and organising of functional living areas such as kitchens, bedrooms, living spaces, and storage areas

  • Creating simple, easy-to-maintain organising systems

  • Supporting participants to locate and access important items more easily

  • Establishing clear storage solutions for everyday belongings

  • Guidance for calmer, sensory-friendly home environments where appropriate

  • Practical strategies to help maintain systems long-term

  • A PDF Take-Home Pack with tips and routines for maintaining organised spaces

The goal is to create systems that are realistic, sustainable, and supportive of everyday living.

How This Support Helps in Everyday Life:

Professional organising can support participants by helping them:

  • Locate belongings more easily

  • Reduce stress and overwhelm caused by clutter

  • Create simple routines for daily tasks

  • Improve accessibility and functionality within the home

  • Maintain calmer, more structured living environments

  • Develop practical strategies to manage their space independently

These changes can help participants feel more confident, supported, and in control of their home environment.

How It Works:

1.Start with a Discovery Call

If you are unsure whether this service is the right fit, you are welcome to begin with a complimentary Discovery Call.

This relaxed conversation allows us to:

  • Discuss the areas of the home that may need support

  • Explore how organising systems could improve everyday routines

  • Talk through NDIS plans and whether this support aligns with participant goals

  • Answer any questions you may have about the process

The Discovery Call can be helpful for participants, family members, or support coordinators who would like to better understand how this service works.

There is no pressure to proceed, it simply provides an opportunity to explore whether this support may be helpful.

2. Initial Consultation

Before organising support sessions begin, a 1 hour initial consultation is required. This allows me to meet with the participant, understand their NDIS goals, and assess the areas of the home where support is needed.

During the consultation I will:

Discuss the participant’s goals and daily challenges

• Walk through the relevant areas of the home
• Identify barriers affecting independence and daily routines
• Determine the level and type of organising support required

Following the consultation, I develop a simple support plan outlining recommended organising strategies and the structure of ongoing support sessions, ensuring they align with the participant’s NDIS goals.

In some cases, where goals and required supports are already clearly documented within the participant’s plan or by the support coordinator, this step may be streamlined.

The consultation can be claimed from the participant’s NDIS plan under the relevant support category.

3. Professional Organising Session:

Hands-on organising support is provided in the participant’s home in either:

  • 4-hour sessions

  • 6-hour sessions

Sessions focus on the areas of the home that will have the greatest positive impact on everyday life.

Support is collaborative and always delivered at a pace that feels comfortable

4. Aftercare Support:

After the session, participants receive a PDF resource pack with practical strategies and tips to help maintain the systems created.

Follow-up sessions can also be arranged if ongoing support would be helpful.
