FAQs
Do I have to buy new products? Not at all. We will always start by using what you already own. New products are only recommended if they will truly improve the function and flow of your space.
What if I don’t like the products you choose? You will receive a Product Specification Document with links, images, and pricing before anything is purchased. Nothing is bought without your full approval, so you stay in control of your budget and style.
What stores do you source from? I aim to choose products that are not only functional but also mindful. Wherever possible, I like to source unique, recycled, or one-off pieces that bring character and sustainability into your home. For storage containers and systems, I prefer to use good-quality, long-lasting options from trusted stores such as Howard’s Storage World and similar.
I also completely understand budgets and preferences vary, so if you would like me to shop at Kmart, IKEA, or Target, I am more than happy to do so. My role is to give you choices and recommendations, and to find the best balance of quality, function, sustainability, and budget for your space.
Is the fee just for buying products?
The fee covers the time and expertise it takes to research, shop, and install items that perfectly fit your space. It saves you the stress of returns, wasted money, or trial-and-error shopping. Product costs themselves are billed separately at cost (with receipts provided).
Can I be involved in the process?
Absolutely. Some clients prefer a “hands-off” approach, while others like to be part of the decision-making. You can be as involved as you like, either way, you will always have the final say.

From our very first conversation to the final reveal, here’s how I will guide you through the process of creating a home that feels both beautiful and functional.
1. Discovery Call
A complimentary phone or video chat where we discuss your project, needs, and vision. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, gain clarity on how I work, and ensure we are the right fit before moving forward.
2. Initial Consultation
A deep dive into your lifestyle, budget, and style preferences. We will walk through your space (in person or virtually), discuss your goals, and outline the scope of your project. This creates the foundation for your design journey.
3. Kick-Off & Concept Design
Here, I begin articulating the design direction. We refine your goals, review inspiration, and explore samples from my materials library. Initial concepts are created, and we’ll meet to clarify the style and confirm the brief together.
4. Design Proposal
I’ll present a tailored design package, including layouts, furniture placement, finishes, and mood boards, along with recommendations for how your space will come together. You will have the chance to ask questions and request revisions before we move forward.
5. Design & Specify
Once the design is approved, I will prepare detailed plans, schedules, and specifications. You will have access to an online client portal where you can view selections, provide feedback, and approve items, keeping everything organised and transparent.
6. Sourcing & Ordering
With approvals in place, I coordinate all supplier communications, prepare invoices, and place orders. Wherever possible, I source through trusted trade suppliers, passing on discounts to you. Deliveries are scheduled, and smaller pieces are stored until installation day.
7. Construction Phase (if applicable)
If renovation or building work is part of your project, I will liaise with trades and conduct site visits to clarify design details and ensure seamless integration.
Please note: I do not project manage trades, but I am happy to work alongside them to support your design outcome.
8. Install & Styling
This is the exciting part, where your space comes to life! I will coordinate deliveries, unpack items, and oversee placement of furniture, décor, and accessories. Relevant professionals, such as installers, electricians, or cleaners, may also be arranged. At the end of this stage, your home is styled and ready to enjoy.
9. Project Handover
We will meet in your beautifully finished space, where I will walk you through everything and present your Handover Pack, including final plans, supplier contacts, warranties, and care guides. I’ll also arrange a photographer to capture your completed project.
10. Aftercare Support
Once you’ve settled in, I will check in to ensure your space feels just right. This may include light styling adjustments, product care advice, or supplier follow-ups. My goal is for you to feel supported long after the project is complete.

Not every project requires a full design service. Sometimes all you need is clarity, guidance, and a professional eye to point you in the right direction with confidence. This intensive 6-hour session is designed for clients who want expert advice they can action themselves, without committing to ongoing project management.
Whether you’re feeling stuck on how to arrange your space, overwhelmed by colour and material choices, or simply craving reassurance that your ideas will work, this service gives you the dedicated time and attention of a professional designer. Together, we will work through your priorities, uncover solutions tailored to your lifestyle, and create a plan that feels both inspiring and achievable.
This session is also perfect for clients who enjoy a more hands-on, DIY approach but want to know they’re heading in the right direction with expert support.
